Once upon a time, RawAutos had a forum. No, really, we did. But we didn’t pay much attention to it and it got clogged up with spam. Now, though, we’re taking this opportunity much more seriously and invited all of you to come join in on the daily fun.
The forum is for those who want to share things about the cars they drive, the automotive news they’ve read, or just to talk cars in general.
A car forum is a great way for people to get involved with one another, but also to learn more about cars and their own, too. I’ve been involved in car forums since I was 18, and I always forget how many I belong to until my Birthday. And each year I remember that the tally is around 60-65 forums. Ugh, it’s so much e-mail each year on that crazy day of Facebook, Twitter, text messages, phone calls and other e-mails from everyone and their mother. But I digress.
Anyway, come stop by and join the RawAutos Forum to get started talking about everything automotive. Oh, and let’s please be adults about this. Don’t fill the place with porn, dirty images, racial language, etc. As much as I want everyone to be free, don’t be stupid about it.
Different things are still being updated and put together for the forum, so if you notice any issues, feel free to drop me a line and let me know about it. I’m also still learning all there is to know about running a forum, so give me some time to add stuff. If there’s a particular type of forum topic you’d like to add, just let me know and I’d be more than happy to put it on the site, provided it’s a mature topic.
One reason I’m starting a new forum for RawAutos is to build a dedicated bunch of readers. While sites like Autoblog and Jalopnik are two of the best at giving you great news, interesting stories and entertaining information, we’re a little bit different. We don’t type an article every day. Instead we’d rather keep ourselves a bit more unique. So if there’s a bit of news you’d like to share with people, no matter where it comes from, you can throw it up on the forum.
As well as the typical talk about RawAutos and general car stuff you’ll find, we’ll also feature information about the Internet radio show I co-host, RoundelTable Radio, regarding past episodes, chats about each show coming up, and the like, all on the forum.
