When I think of the 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid, I think about an all-purpose sedan that disguises itself as a non-hybrid car. That’s what I love most… and you should, too.

The Ford Fusion Hybrid is one great automobile, and if you know me you’ll know how much it pains me to say a hybrid is that good. But Ford have done something that I really enjoyed here. They’ve made what’s already a great car, with styling for the gods, and turned it into something for the everyman. It’s not flashy or showy, it’s just sexy and debonaire. It isn’t masculine or feminine, it only knows that there’s a task to be done. That task is to get you great fuel economy while not stealing cash out of that hole in your wallet.

The Ford Fusion Hybrid is no teenager in your house. It does what you ask of it -in a Rolls-Royce-like manner, might I add- and without missing a beat it performs all of your daily needs. I just wish it went grocery shopping and picked up the dry cleaning for me.

The Fusion’s 2.0-liter Atkinson Cycle inline-4 makes 141 horsepower and 129 lb-ft of torque from the gas motor, and 118 horses and 177 lb-ft of torque from its electric motor. When both motors are operating together, 188 hp is made in total. Ford and the EPA say you’ll get 47 mpg city and 47 mpg on the highway. And while I’ve heard numerous reports of people not getting that, I personally achieved an average of 40-42 mpg between both city and highway. So yeah, I still that’s quite good.

Anyway, watch the video and see for yourself about the new 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrd.
