Just two days for the 2010 New York International Auto Show, we were treated to a gem of a press release with a few great shots of the 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon. And once it came out to the NY Auto Show floor, it was evident that Cadillac didn’t just make a wagon with a supercharged V8. No, they’ve made a monster. A people carrier that will make you early to any function, even if you leave late.
This Caddy isn’t for the soccer mom… It’s for the hockey dad. And not the dad that cares about showing he spent the most for his car. It’s for the guy who knows he’s got the most horsepower of the bunch and isn’t afraid to use it. You show your Audi RS4 wagon driving, BMW M5 Touring loving, Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG wagon braggin’ friends who’s got another kick ass super car with 5-doors.
I don’t think I have to tell you that the standard CTS-V stuff is on this Sport Wagon, but I do have to tell you that this bad boy is unsafe at any speed (credit: Ralph Nader). And I don’t mean unsafe in a bad way… I mean unsafe for any exotic car driver. It will make them cry.
Oh, and this monster comes with a good ole’ fashioned three (3) pedal setup to boot. Expect to see the Caddy V Wagon hit your local dealer some time in the fall. Also, it should stay around the standard CTS-V price, which is under $70,000
It almost feels as if Bob Lutz was trying to treat us to a little retirement present. Instead of office cake, we get CTS-V Sport Wagon…I’ll take it.
