Last week I showed you the Autoblog review of the 2011 Mustang GT and Mustang V6 models. But this week I’ve got something possibly even more special for you guys to read: A Motor Trend test of the new 5.0 Mustang GT versus the Camaro SS and Challenger SRT/8. Hmm… I wonder who wins this one.
I won’t give any endings away, but I will say that the new Mustang GT handles itself well. Motor Trend even posted a 4.4-second 0-60 mph time. But I’ll leave it at that! Also, I just have to mention, once again, not to toot my own horn (toot, toot!), but I saw this coming…
What’s my prediction on the 0-60 of the new 5.0-liter Ford Mustang GT? Well, I’ll tell you: 4.4-seconds. I’m just throwing it out there… Maybe I’m right, and well, maybe I’m wrong. But, I’ll tell you this now, I haven’t been wrong too often whenever I’ve made performance estimates. I estimated that the E9x M3 would be as fast as it is, and the same with the 335i BMW. I’ve made so many performance predictions that turned out to be correct that it’s not even funny. So, I really hope I’m in the ball park with the new Mustang GT.
That was from my 2011 Mustang GT vs 2010 Camaro SS just for fun feature.
It appears that the new 5-0 is one hell of a motor. Check out the Inside Line video to see what kind of punch it really packs.
