Happy 4th of July!
Today is of course the 4th of July. A day to celebrate our heritage and great service to this country by the men and women who have protected it from the beginning. If you see a troop, hug them, salute them, shake their hand, or just thank them. Politics are politics, but service men and women have nothing to do with that. They are doing a great job that not many people want to do.
Technically this is our Independence Day, and technically it’s not. Today is the day we said we were independent. We weren’t actually until we won the war.
Importantly, don’t drive if you’ve been drinking. Please be safe. I’m sure your family would like to have you around for another year, or so… If not, well then something’s wrong.
